Clisson, France
- The town and the celebrated family of Clisson, the most famous member of which was Olivier IV de Clisson, take their name from their stronghold.
- The town and castle, the château de Clisson, were destroyed in 1792 and 1793 during the War in the Vendée.
- Afterwards, the sculptor François-Frédéric Lemot bought the castle, and the town was rebuilt in the early part of the 19th century according to his plans.
Interesting Guy was actually here on Friday, June 17th, for Hellfest which has been occurring outside of Clisson since 2006.
After looking at pictures…and hearing about Clisson from Interesting Guy…I am soooo jealous! It looks and sounds beautiful!! Interesting Guy also said that him and his good friend drank 4 bottles of super yummy French Bordeaux…I seriously hope he’s bought some extra to bring home!! WINE WINE WINE!!! :D
